What is my purpose on this earth?

This could be taken as a simple question with a simple answer or in my case, the reason for starting a blog. My goal as a coach, teacher, and devoted husband are to touch mostly children and young adults lives so that not only are they able to succeed at whatever they want to do in life, but also see what God is doing in my life. In doing this I must juggle my teaching and coaching with my family life in a way that I put my family first without neglecting my other duties. As a teacher and coach in a public school district sometimes this may be hard to do directly, but I feel that I walk the walk of the talk that I talk then my students and players will see how a good Christian person acts.
I have considered myself a Christian all my life but not until recently when I met my wife did I really understand what it meant to be a Christian and how to walk the walk of one who walks in the light of God. We regularly attend church and actively serve in the nursery weekly.  Are we perfect? No, no one is except for our savior Jesus Christ.
In upcoming entries I will not preach on how others should live their lives, but instead give share my life as a Christian trying to juggle being a teacher, coach, and family man. I will also share fun and encouraging stories from my life, team, and school that I think would be inspirational to fellow coaches and teachers.
Final thought: Every day I ask myself one question that helps me reflect on whether I have walked my walk. “Did you glorify God today?” It is a quote that is on the wall right inside my door of my office. I read it several times a day and most importantly when I walk out the door to leave my school. If I can answer the question with a Yes, I feel that that day was a success and I have fulfilled Gods purpose for me on this earth that day.
